My Ama My Hero

I missed my dad... Lately his been having hard times with all the problems we had...he doesn't have a time to me. How I wanted to hug him, tell him that everything would be fine, but that wont be easy for me to say. Sometimes I felt that my siblings doesn't love our dad anymore, sometimes they won't respect him, they ignore him. I hate that, and I hate myself for not defending  my dad. They kept on blaming him, all of them! Why can't they just be thankful? some kids out there wanted a dad so much, longing for a dad's love. Dad has been a nice dad to us, his willing to sacrifice anything for us but sad to say they don't see it, all they could see was his fault, but whatever my dad do, he will always be my dad, my hero. You are my one an only father.for them, you may not be the best dad, but for me you are the best dad. I LOVE YOU AMA. Thank you for everything you've given me.

#3 Sendong: World deadliest storm for 2011

Sendong (international name: Wasi) world deadliest storm for 2011 have destroyed many places in Mindanao, especially in Cagayan de Oro and Iligan City. Many people have lost their houses, lost their things and especially they have lost their loved ones. It is hard for them to move on remembering what happened and in just a blink of an eye they lost so many things. And thinking that it could come back anytime.

“I was planning to go home at that time, but something was stopping me” Asliah said. “We were so happy at that time because we are going home, we do not even know that their was a storm coming, my friend and I was at the second floor of our lodging house. My friend slept around 12:00 am, I was texting my friends for our plan for our reunion. Around 1:00 am the rain pour harder I just ignored it. All of the sudden my other board mates were shouting, I looked out the window and saw the water almost reached our second floor. I quickly woke my friend, we secured our things, and I even posted “help” in face book before it was brownout. It was pitch black, we could not see anything we do not even have a flashlights in our room. And then I felt something cold in my feet when I touched  it their was a water, in just second the water was up to my waist level, I panicked, The only thing that was in my mind was I  am going to die. But luckily the water did not reached the roof of our second floor. I was so scared.”

Doing that interview with Asliah I can not stop my tears. If I were in her Place I would do exactly what she did and feel what she felt at that time. They are still coping up with their lives. And they did not lost their faith in God. God bless as all!

#2 Reflection to Sendong

It is not easy writing this, knowing thousands have died and hundred more missing. Even though we are not affected by the storm I still sympathizes those who were affected by the storm. I have seen dead peoples, destroyed houses and all.  Every time I watch the news, Sendong is all over it, I can't stomach watching those dead people. I somehow had a phobia on that but I've overcome it. I do not want to remember their sorrowful faces or even talk about it. It creeps me out. I still got goosebumps every time I heard it.

It was hard loosing your loved ones, with just one snap, they are gone and no where to be found. I think one lesson is learned in what happened. Let us love them, let us treasure them because we do not know when they would live us.

But one thing that fascinates me more is even though they have lost many things, they still can laugh, like nothing happened. Filipinos are naturally happy. I just hope they can return to their lives which is a hard thing to do knowing the storm can come back every time.
